Overview

PetsPyjamas.com is Europe’s number one online pet-friendly travel and lifestyle destination where pet lovers can browse and book from over 2,000 truly pet-welcoming cottages, hotels, country stylish B&Bs around the UK and Europe. They also offer a fabulous collection of over 10,000 pet accessories – all handpicked by in-house pet stylists and curated by breed.

Challenges

The main goal was a shorter conversion funnel along with an increase in sales which ultimately meant that the user journey needed to be carefully considered. Search results also needed more personalisation as it was heavily used by website visitors – both new and returning. With PetsPyjamas focus on being pet-friendly, their website needed to remain user-friendly and ease of use was integral.

The Results

Implementation took less than 5 days with very little support required from the PetsPyjamas IT team. The results after a few weeks included a 3X on conversion rates, 10% overall CTR from personalisations and a significant increase in search page specific purchases based on personalisations. The hotels personalisations also helped in shortening the conversion funnel and driving more sales with an overall positive uplift in engagement.
